Happy Christmas from Save The Trident

We just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The support we’ve had so far for our project to save and restore Trident G-ARPO has been incredible, so a massive thank you for all the offers of support and help. In 2010 we will hopefully see some major milestones in the projet, including visiting the Trident at Belfast to source many parts, some major fundraising, and the long-awaited cutting and moving of G-ARPO from Durham Tees Valley to Sunderland. Belfast Trident as a Parts Source

We have had some great news today from the Belfast International Fire Service. In a corner of Belfast International Airport is the complete Trident 2E G-AVFE, which has been used by the service for non-destructive training. The fire service has kindly allowed us to use this Trident as a parts source for our restoration of G-ARPO, and have invited us to visit in early 2010 to see what is available and what we’d like.
