More interior painting work

This past weekend we completed more interior paint work in Trident G-ARPO. The underside of the PSUs (passenger controls above your head) were painted, as were two of the doors. In addition, we painted second coats on the window panels. Dave and Roy have also continued working this week on painting work, and new member Pete Dunn is beginning to look at the corrosion on the tail pieces in a bid to repair them ahead of future work. We want to send out a big thanks to Johnstone’s and Leyland Decorating Centres for helping subsidise some of the paint we’ve used in the interior restoration of G-ARPO. The staff at the centre we used, in Peterborough, was very helpful in both offering this sponsorship of 25% discount, and in helping us match the colours and primer we needed, and recommending the amount we needed. June work and Falklands Memorial event

June has been quite busy for our team up at Sunderland. Dave and Roy have been spending a lot of time inside the aircraft working on preparing the forward cabin. They have been replacing damaged areas of the ceiling with new panels, and they have also been painting various areas in the authentic colours used by Northeast Airlines (and BKS Airlines – their former guise).
