Holiday Inn sponsorship

We’ve had very generous sponsorship today from the manager of the Holiday Inn Solstice Park at Amesbury, who has agreed to provide free accommodation for a night when our team visit Boscombe Down in June. This very generous offer is very much appreciated, and we didn’t expect to be able to stay in such nice accommodation on our trip to recover parts which will be useful for the restoration of Trident G-ARPO. The Holiday Inn Solstice Park is ideally situated for Amesbury, Boscombe Down, and Stonehenge. Check them out on this link. We thank their manager Mark for this...

This was fine, as we were able to get on with interior restoration work. However, today we arranged to have the aircraft moved to its new position. Starting early, our team gathered and MSD Cranes came along to begin the procedure of lifting the aircraft. Since there was a telephone wire running across...

Today we’ve arranged with Wickes to provide supplies to recreate the Pullman-style tables in our aircraft cabin, which were authentic to the aircraft when it was in service. Wickes have agreed to give a very generous sponsorship of the supplies, so we thank them very much. Keep an eye out for progress pictures of the tables as they come together, and one day you may even get to sit at them if you come and visit the...
