Engine parts donation from QinetiQ BAC 1-11

Members of our team have just returned from a trip to Boscombe Down to retrieve engine casing parts from one of the retired BAC 1-11 aircraft there. The 1-11 used similar Spey engines to the Trident, and so we are able to use these casings in restoring the damaged casings on G-ARPO. The donor aircraft was ZE432, which is now retired. This was the last chance to obtain these parts as the 1-11 is now retired from the UK’s skies.
