Trident towbar delivered

We have now had an original towbar delivered to the museum to go with our Trident thanks to a number of companies pulling together to help us out. Saints Transport Limited delivered the towbar to Sunderland for us free of charge, which is a major undertaking considering the size and distance, so first of all we’d like to offer our thanks to them. They’re experts in urgent air freight and have over 200 vehicles stationed at depots at all the major UK airports. Galley fittings in place

Thanks to Northern Engineers & Fabricators Ltd (see earlier post) we now have a new set of fittings for the galley in G-ARPO. The original galley fittings were lost long ago (before we took on the restoration project), but now we have been able to add parts to recreate how the galley would have looked in Northeast Airlines service. The picture illustrates how it looks now, but please note we still need to add some items like taps which we’re trying to source....
