Grey paint applied

The distinctive and bold colours of Northeast Airlines started to appear on G-ARPO this weekend as members took an opportunity in the dry weather to paint the light grey colours along the lower portion of the fuselage. Following a day applying the primer last week, the team knew we must strike while the iron was hot and make the most of any dry working days to try and get the livery applied. Primed and ready!

Primed and ready!

Over the weekend members of the Save The Trident team met at the museum to carry out more preparation work on G-ARPO. Since Saturday was mostly a washout we had to revert to indoor activities such as preparing the seats and covers, clothing our new hostess (she’s called Tracy) in her authentic BA uniform and putting up the ceiling panels in the cockpit. Our amazing carpenter Roy also spent the weekend working on the display cabinets in the rear cabin. See the picture below – I’m sure you’ll agree they’re looking great!
