Last week we had the opportunity to go and rescue some parts from the Trident 2E at Belfast International to use in the restoration of G-ARPO.
The Trident there is used by the airport fire service, and we had a very successful trip in the early days of our project to find lots of useful parts which have been use in our aircraft.
This time we were able to take a selection of good window panes to replace the damaged, scratched and opaque examples on our aircraft, as well as some other useful bits.
The trip was a joint venture with the guys from the de Havilland Aircraft Museum at London Colney who also had a shopping list of items to help restore their Trident 2E aircraft.
Our thanks go out to the fire service at Belfast International, as well as the de Havilland Aircraft Museum for their help with this trip.
