We want to take an opportunity to wish you all a Happy Christmas and New Year from all at Save The Trident.
It’s been another great year for the project, with a number of key moments.
Most importantly, we’ve welcomed hundreds of people on board G-ARPO this year on our regular opening days – of which there were more than in previous years.
We get a lot of great feedback from people who come on board, and our guests range from people who have never stepped foot on board an aircraft before, to former pilots who used to fly G-ARPO all around Europe.
Also this past year we have made more trips to Belfast to source some important spare parts off our donor aircraft, Trident 2 G-AVFE. These will be added to our aircraft over coming months, improving it further.
We also held a fire training event with a local fire service, and welcomed a film team looking to use an aircraft as a location. It proves how useful our Trident is beyond just being a museum piece.
Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page as we will soon be announcing our 2019 opening dates and our plans for the coming year.
