Support Us

Save The Trident is run entirely by volunteers who have a passion to save this unique piece of aviation history.

To date all of our works in relocating and restoring the aircraft have been done through the kind support of individuals and organisations who have donated time, money and services to help us achieve our goals.

How You Can Help

We are always appreciative of those who can help us in any way.

If you want to offer support towards our project, you can do so in the following ways:

As well as funding major restoration works, funds donated to our project help us with the day-to-day running. We always need to buy supplies and materials, and we assure you that every penny received goes towards saving this aircraft.

Donating by Cheque

If your company can help in any way with providing its services to our project in exchange for publicity on our website, Facebook group and onboard the aircraft, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us.

We are always in need of enthusiastic and reliable volunteers who can help us in person. Could you show visitors around the aircraft on our open days? Do you have manual or technical skills to help us maintain and restore our aircraft? We just ask that you can regularly come to Sunderland to volunteer. Please get in touch.

I worked for BEA / BA, based at Hatton Cross LHR until 1974. In the late 60s I worked on the Flight Data development, the section headed up by Peter Waller and then for a number of years in the Flight Control development section headed by Don Craig on the Trident Autoland development. I have some photographs that may be of interest to you.
